Love and Harmony: A City Hall Couple Elopes from London for a Winter Wedding
How They Met
City Hall Couple Elopes from London. When UK natives Victoria, a violinist, and Richard, a trombonist, met gigging in a London classical music group 7 years ago, music played in their hearts as well. These two picked New York as their nuptial spot because it is spot that plucked their most romantic heart strings. Later in the day I asked Victoria Why New York, she smiled and said “Because I love it.”
How it all Happened
The two musicians found me on the Knot, through an article which featured a City Hall wedding I shot that was featured on a blog. So, we met up at the renovated Manhattan City Hall Marriage Bureau at 80 Centre Street. 60 Center Street is a redone space that keeps all of the character of the classic marble halls that City Hall is known. However, it has much better workflow for today’s couples on the go! Families can fit now, and friends who want to join it. Some days it is so busy it can take over an hour to even get in.
The spot boasts a flower shoppe, classic New York umbrellas, and 2 spacious chapels painted soft colors. Richard and Victoria were so happy, that their joy was practically musical.
