Family Thanksgiving
Family Thanksgiving. When you get invited to your friend's 2 dads' Thanksgiving celebration, you tell your own family you made other plans and you accept. Its pretty much that simple. Especially if one of the dads is Italian. You don't hesitate. And you take pictures, just like at any other holiday. So its pretty much a guarantee that the pictures will be unlike anything you have ever shot before. Picture it, an immaculately decorated 3 bedroom apartment, handsome hosts, fluffy little dogs, and a spread to die for. And I could relate perfectly. It was just like being with my own family only with a higher thread count. To Enumerate,
- two dads
- fluffy little dogs
- sunset views
- books and art everywhere you look
- a spread to die for including a 24 pound turkey
- five pies
- a private screening of Crazy Rich Asians
A Little History
After 1890, representations of the Pilgrims and the Wampanoag began to reflect a shift of interest to the 1621 harvest celebration. By the beginning of the 20th century, the Pilgrims and the Thanksgiving holiday were used to teach children about American freedom and how to be good citizens.
