NYC Maternity Photography Session

NYC Maternity Photography Session

This post is about a recent maternity photography session I shot {by NYC fine art photographer Angela Cappetta} with real film and a custom camera. I had shot Sarah's wedding dress fitting before her wedding, and she graciously let me come back to shoot her pregnancy. Today's victim is the redoubtable Sarah Hamblin, Field Segment Director for the Daily Show. Sarah is incredible. She is not only one of the coolest bold and strong women I've ever met, but she is insanely talented. If you've ever watched the Daily Show, you've seen her work. Bricky is one of her inventions, FYI. We go into this in our podcast interview. together. Sarah graciously opened her home to me right before the world shut down in 2020. In typical fashion, I set a time with her and rolled in with my gear. We let the shooting begin. I. love involving the other parent when they're at home, and this is what we did. Sarah's huzzy Shawn, an incredible actor and writer, was all too gracious about letting me shove a lens into his face. My favorite moment was when Sarah pulled out a Simpson's book that said "So You've Ruined Your Life" on the cover, with a drawing of a pregnant lady on the cover.

Furthermore, you can listen to the podcast episode all about Sarah's shoot on Down and Dirty Photography with Angela here.
