Q: I want to propose on the Brooklyn Bridge. What do you think?
A:
Ah, the Brooklyn Bridge. She is a mighty goddess. As with any bridge for that matter. And as a goddess, she is rooted in total fantasy. To enumerate: it’s a mile walk in and a mile walk out. Occasionally in a headwind. It is a crowded, windy tourist trap. You will often walk into a headwind once you’re on the Bridge incline. On days where it’s foggy you’re in the very thick center of it with poor visibility. There are two lanes of traffic: bicycle and pedestrian. There is nowhere to kneel down except in the parapet in the center, which is always incredibly crowded. We have been shooting on bridges for as long as we have been operating. We know them well. Every inch of them. And we have the pictures to prove it.
But all is not lost! If you love the bridge, we have an ideal spot on the mainland which shows not only the Brooklyn Bridge but the Manhattan Bridge as well! They rise up directly behind you, in perfect symmetry. No crowds, no wind, no bicycles. Perfect, picturesque privacy. A vision, about ten steps from bathrooms, coffee shops and civilization. We want to encourage you to go this route as opposed to the wild west that awaits you on a suspension bridge.
Q: But I spent all my money already on a ring. How can I afford NYC Engagement Proposal Photographs?

Proposal photography isn’t for everyone. But it doesn’t look like it’s going anywhere. It is one of those trends that looks like it’s going to stick around. So, consider building in a $2,000.00 USD cushion (approx) into the price of the engagement ring. If you think about it as part of the cost of the ring, you won’t have sticker shock when it comes time to hire a shooter for your NYC proposal photography. But don’t feel left out in the cold. Q: Will you shoot our engagement session after?
A:
As far as we’re concerned, no proposal is complete without a proper engagement session after. When you’re both glowy and thrilled, it is the best. It would be our supreme privilege to photograph your engagement session after your partner says yes.
Q: I want to order an album and framed print after. Is this possible?
A:
You bet it is! Some of our packages even include an album. Make sure you ask us about this when we work up a package for you.
Q: Is it possible to include video?
A:
We don’t think enough people ask us this question! Of course, we can include video. We can even make it look like a separate shoot is happening in the area as your proposal so as not to tip off your partner. We’re great like that.
Q: Proposal Photography Engagement Photography NYC. What’s the difference?
A:
Proposal photography is having the expertise to nail the moment of asking them those four words your partner is dying to hear. The work must be clear, well lit, concise and tell the full story of what is happening.
Engagement photography, however, is a little different. This is the ensuing shoot which occurs after the ring is placed on their finger. It chronicles the moments and emotions after the actual proposal is over. And, this part of the shoot usually takes about 45 minutes post-proposal. We know you have calls to make, posts to post, and ring selfies to text to your families. We want to shoot it thoroughly but we also don’t want to keep you from living your life.
Most states require both spouses, the officiant, and one witness, to sign the marriage certificate. This is often done just after the ceremony. You can usually apply for your marriage license at any county clerk office in the state in which you want to be married. Your photographer can be your witness.
Wedding ceremonies usually last between 10-15 minutes, which is ample time to cover the basics: a reading, your vows, the ring exchange, the kiss and the final pronouncement.
Courthouse wedding dress varies from black tie to simple streetwear and absolutely everything in between. If you’ve dreamt of traditional wedding attire, go for it. Otherwise, you may wish to opt for an elegant outfit of your choosing.
You can go to any circuit court in the state to apply for a marriage license. The cost is usually $35.
