Sole East Montauk Wedding Shot by NYC Wedding Photographer Angela Cappetta
A little background: Montauk is about 13 miles east of East Hampton and is a major tourist destination. This is because it has a real rugged beauty. It is a great place for outdoorsy visitors because there are six state parks where you can go for a long walk or hike. It is particularly famous for its surfing and fishing. We learned in our research that Montauk more world saltwater fishing records than any other port in the whole world. Furthermore, Montauk is known by many Long Island residents as “The End.” This is because it is the easternmost point of the island and of New York state. Montauk has such a rich history. and so much beauty. It is named after the First Nations Montaukett tribe.
This is the street where the Second House is located. Second House Road is the name of the street were Solé East Resort is located. The Second House is the oldest structure in Montauk at 275 years young. However, recently, the deterioration of the Second House has imperiled this piece of rich American history. Recently, though, work has already begun to restore the house back to its glory days. You can read about it, and support the project here. Second House Road: the address of the famed Sole East Resort, the venue where Amy and Chiqui hosted their chic, tented beach wedding for 125 guests.
When Amy and Chiqui tied the knot, they chose the location of their first trip together, Solé East in Montauk. And, well, it couldn’t have been more perfect. As they said their I-dos under a big tree on a carpet of petals, Amy floated down the aisle in an ombré gown from Mark Ingram Atelier.
“Angela is an amazing photographer. Artistic and unique feel for subject and place. She photographed our wedding and our family photoshoot as well. If you want timeless photographs of your event with a caring and attentive professional, she really is the best. Couldn’t recommend her more highly!”
