Dance Photography Residency at the Joffrey Ballet

This project was made during my two year residency at The Joffrey Ballet. The directors of the school gave me free reign to shoot the dancers in training anywhere and at any time. I made this work as a result. The library of work resides in the permanent collection of the organization.

This dance work is made with a 6×9 film camera, shot with real 120 black and white roll film. It is processed in small batches. Then I proof and print all of the film it in my darkroom. Photography of the Joffrey Ballet is shot with real Kodak black and white film. Ballet book designed by Kormas Studio.

Prints available for sale in 8×10 or 11×14”. Exhibition size is 16×20”.
