The esteemed St. Mark’s Church in-the-Bowery wedding was the perfect backdrop for a chic East Village wedding. Veronica sported a vanilla wedding pants suit that she got at H&M. (Yes, H&M!). It fit her tall and slender frame beautifully. Jan was "slightly more bougie" as his sister said, in his suit by Theory.

But yes, the tie he wore was also from H&M (lol). Important to note, they brought their parakeet Paloma to the wedding. She had a bath before the big day. And they decked her cage out in a "flowerbird" theme. Paloma is important to them, and she deserved a front seat to their nuptials.Veronica and Jan met on Bumble right before the pandemic shut-down. Jan even bought them electric scooters so they could commute to each other's apartments. You see, no one wanted to take the subway at that point. Ever the forward thinker, Jan was on top of it.
Their ceremony was in English and Spanish, a nod to Veronica's Mexican roots. Jan is the eldest of nine children. Nine. And they were all there. Every last one of them. And they all like each other (think the main family in Bridgerton) which I thought was amazing. After a sweet and lovely garden ceremony and speech set, we strolled to the Astor Place Cube, and took a few photographs of them together. After all, the East Village is where their love was cemented. It needed to be memorialized as such. It has that effect on people.
